About Me

Welcome families!

I am Jessica Bunnell MS, CCC-SLP. I am certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association to provide high quality speech and language services to your little one! I am passionate about helping children communicate with their family, friends, and community, and together we will help your child meet their speech and language goals.

I received my Master's degree in speech pathology at Northeastern University with a certificate in early intervention. I worked in early intervention, at an elementary school, and at a private practice before deciding to open my own practice and work with families across Massachusetts.

I focus on providing fun and engaging family-centered and child-centered therapy - that means I prioritize the child's interests and the family's needs in the context of our therapy sessions. I strongly encourage parents to be involved in our sessions and my goal is to show you how to support your child's development outside of our time together. I am here to work collaboratively with you to help your child and address concerns that you may have!

My Approach to Therapy

It's all about play! Play is an essential part of development and it is the basis of how I approach most speech and language therapy sessions. Incorporating speech and language targets into the child's natural play environment keeps the child engaged and motivated to continue working toward their goals. Plus, it's fun! I provide encouragement and feedback throughout the session to help the child understand what is expected of them and how they can continue to improve.

Parent and caregiver involvement is another important aspect of my approach to treating speech and language disorders and delays. The time I spend with your child in our sessions are a small fraction of the time they spend with you throughout the week. YOU are their role model! I am happy to provide strategies and resources that you can use at home or in the community to support your child's development. We will work together to help your child find success!

I am happy to answer any further questions you may have in a 30 minute phone consult - please don't hesitate to contact me!
